As an Infection Control Nurse, you will play a key role in preventing and managing infections, ensuring the safety of our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs to reduce the risk of infection in healthcare settings.
• Conduct surveillance of infections across the facility, identifying trends, outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Educate staff, patients, and visitors on infection control practices and procedures.
• Perform regular audits of infection control protocols and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper patient care, particularly in managing high-risk cases.
• Participate in training and in-service sessions for staff on infection prevention.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national infection control regulations.

Qualifications:

• Current LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license in California.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred, or must be willing to obtain within a specified time frame.
• In-depth knowledge of infection prevention protocols, healthcare-associated infections, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
