Mars Canada Industrial Engineering Internship Experience

As a Mars Canada Intern, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

• H elp implement site Improvement projects to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specifically Total Return to Stakeholders (TRS).
• W ork with the Site IE Lead to run Kaizen, SMED activities
• Collaborate with multiple teams Including Operations, Reliability, Quality and Safety.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Conduct and coordinate time studies and analysis to identify and quantify opportunities or shortfalls in the value stream and/or direct cost financial performance.
• Provide analysis and data on bottleneck capacity for each process function for evaluation of potential capacity constraints.
• Perform a key role in the team process of setting line performance standards; e.g., KPI’s (ATS, TRS, MTBS) and line capacity impacting short and long term delivery of safety, quality, customer service, and cost deliverables.
• Conduct and coordinate studies and analysis to identify and quantify process and product quality and/or capacity constraints and opportunities to increase throughput.
• This position and all site associates are responsible for quality and food safety of products at the site.
• Drive the Focused Improvement Pillar forward through the Supply Excellence Program.
